Machine Description:

Press table, press plate fixed to the piston, frame, and cylinder end are of Cast steel.

Columns and nuts of forging grade steel. At the assembly stage the column nuts are specially tightened to prevent them from getting loose in operation. However, opening them is easy.

Main cylinder made of forged steel.

Piston of cast iron.

Prefilling valves of forged steel.

Sealings are Merkel multi-lamella sealings.

Belt conveyor driven by a steplessly adjustable hydraulic motor. Thanks to the pin seam belt change is easy and quick.

Ladders, service platform, guards and special tools for maintenance

Sole plates and bolts

Hydraulic equipment:

Hydraulic power unit with hydraulic main valves. These valves are reliable also should there be impurities in oil.

Hydraulic main circulation pumps (2 pcs), double vane pumps, each of which can also operate individually depending on the capacity. The press function is not disturbed although one of the pumps would not operate.

Auxiliary pump (1 pc) to drive the bale conveyor and to provide oil for cooling and filtering.

Auxiliary pump (1 pc) to provide opening of prefilling valves at right time.

The pump/electric motor assemblies are provided with elements for noise suppression.

Electric motors,
2 x 75 KW for main circulation pumps
1 x 7.5 KW for auxillary pump

Electric controls:

Control panel
comprising control devices and logic.

Limit switches, pressure switches, solenold valves and photocells,
cabled to the control logic.

Control pushbuttons for hydraulic pumps, signal lamps and ammeters.
Motor control equipment is not included in the delivery unless agreed separately.

General:

Locating the press in the bale handling line is easy because the equipment is an individual, complete operational unit. The press foundation is simple. The press in mounted on the floor level and no big foundation pits are needed.

The press is suitable for pressing both wet and dry pulp sheets and flash-dried bales.

The press construction does not allow bales to be stained in case of possible oil leak.

The press is equipped with oil discharge tanks, from which the oil can be pumped back to the system by means of an own pump through a filter. This makes press maintenance easier.

For the life-time of the sealings it is significant that the length of piston movement is automatically minimized while the press operates. The sealings endure up to 5 years in operation.

It desired, a hoisting equipment can be located on the press for service.

Fastening equipment needed in hoisting during maintenance and erection is included in the press accessories.

Operation and maintenance instructions for the press are delivered together with the equipment.
